A Pocketful Of Rain

'A Pocketful Of Rain' is a four (quaternary) album project by UK songwriter Jon Hollins charting the cycle of adventures and misadventures of an alchemist called Hugo Odkirke. It is in four parts and spans 5,000 years. The mystery cycle comes to an action-packed and startling conclusion in a screenplay called 'The 52 Steps' (110 mins).

A Pocketful Of Rain - Quaternary

Part 1: The Life And Times Of Hugo Odkirke
Part 2: Mugged Hare; The Life And Times Of Amelia Jones
Part 3: Quel-Quel
Part 4: Bird Deities

Part 1 has been recorded as a series of demos which are below. Fable Lake and Flies are the best recordings but they're basically all guides of varying quality and performance. NB: download the longer tracks to hear the whole track.

This is the proposed front cover for 'Life and Times.' It's by the well loved Samuel Palmer
and perhaps depicts Odkirke sometime before the English Civil War.
